Robert Lazu is a Catholic philosopher and theologian. As a professional writer, he is columnist at "Idei in dialog", a cultural magazine from Bucharest (Romania). Lazu is author of "Farmecul discret al teologiei" ["The Discreet Charm of Theology"], 2001, "Exercitii hermeneutice" ["Hermeneutical Exercises"], 2002, "Lecturi catolice" ["Catholical lectures"], 2004, "Lumea lui Tolkien" ["Tolkien's World"], 2004 and co-editor of "Orizontul sacru" ["The Sacred Horizon"], 1998, "Perspective asupra Conciliului Vatican II" ["Perspectives about the Second Vatican Council"], 2004 , "J.R.R. Tolkien. Credinţă şi imaginaţie" ["J.R.R. Tolkien. Faith and Imagination"], 2005 and "Enciclopedia lumii lui Tolkien" ["Encyclopedia of Tolkien's World"], 2007. He has written over 200 essays, articles and reviews. Robert is married with Laura who is a Registered Nurse. They have five children: John (1993), Irene (1997), Sebastyen (2000), Paul (2002) and Alexander (2004).
